Prof. Run-Wei Li got his Ph D degree from Institute of Physics (IOP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), China in 2002. Then he spent 13 months in Osaka University, Japan, as a JSPS research fellow, and about one and half years in Kaiserslautern University, Germany, as an AvH (Alexander von Humboldt) research fellow. From Feb. 2005 to Mar. 2008, He worked in International Center for Young Scientists (ICYS), National Institute for Materials Sciences (NIMS), Japan. In 2007, he joined Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering (NIMTE). He was selected by “Hundred-talent” project of CAS in Jan. 2008. Materials Science

Dr. Alberto López-Ortega is researcher at the nanomagnetism group of the CIC nanoGUNE research institution (Spain). During 2013 to 2016 he worked at the University of Florence as a postdoctoral researcher. He received a B.S. from University of Barcelona in 2007, and an M.S. from the Autonomous university of Barcelona. He received his Ph.D. in Material Science from the Autonomous university of Barcelona in 2012.

His research interests span both colloidal synthesis and nanomagnetism. Much of his work has been on improving the understanding, design, and performance of complex nanocrystals composed by one or more magnetic materials, the developing of novel rare-earth-free materials for permanent magnetic applications and magneto-plasmonic metamaterials for the active control of the polarization of light under external magnetic fields.

Dr. Chen obtained his PhD degree in 1999 in Department of Physics, Lanzhou University, China and joined NUS in December 2007. During 2001-2007 he worked at Data Storage Institute as a research scientist. He has authored/co-authored more than 170 refereed journal papers, 3 book chapters, over ten patents and several presentations at international conferences.

Dr. Mrinal Pal started his research carrier in 1992 as a junior scholar and completed Ph.D. work in 1997 from Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science. He appointed as a faculty member (Lecturer) at The University of Burdwan in 2002 and promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2006. He moved to Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, Durgapur in 2010 as a Principal Scientist. Currently, he is Sr. Principal Scientist at Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute, Kolkata. He has received prestigious awards including STA fellowship of Govt. of Japan and MRSI Medal-2016.

The research work of Dr. Pal primarily aims at synthesizing Nanostructured materials (including magnetic, multiferroics, spintronics and sensors materials) and understanding their structure-property correlation for various device applications. He is engaged in developing various gas sensors for advanced medical application.

Gilbert Lonzarich’s research interests include experimental studies of interacting electron systems at low temperatures, high pressures and high magnetic fields, and phenomenological models of itinerant-electron magnetism and magnetically-mediated superconductivity.

Consiglia Mocerino, already Contract Professor at the Faculty of Architecture, Sapienza University of Rome, graduated cum laude with a Master of Science degree in Architecture, Ph.D. in Urban Recovery and Regeneration and specialist in Restoration of monuments, teaching and research collaboration and teaching assignments, in Architectural Technology. In the same Faculty she obtained the nomination of subject expert in the discipline of Technology of Architecture and Industrial Design. She is an expert in research on issues related to innovation and technological experimentation of systems and products in efficient, intelligent, low impact, environmentally friendly architectures, innovative materials and the application of third generation nanotechnologies.

Robert C Pullar completed his PhD at the University of Warwick (he was the first person to ever produce hexaferrite ceramic fibers), and after working as a post-doc in London at South Bank University and Imperial College, is now a Principal Investigator in the University of Aveiro, Portugal. He has published >120 papers (h-index =28), with 33 and 2 book chapters being on ferrites, including a major review [http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.pmatsci.2012.04.001] which is now the most cited hexaferrites paper of the last 50 years (>570 citations). He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC).

Abdelilah Lahmar received his 'Doctorat es Sciences' in Materials Chemistry in 2007 from la Rochelle University (France)/ University Mohamed V (Morocco). Subsequently he worked in institute of materials and surface technology (IMST) in Kiel (Germany) until 2012. Then he moved to Amiens, in laboratory of condensed Matter Physics, where he obtained his Habilitation thesis in 2017. He possesses more than 50 papers published in peer reviewed journals and contributed to numerous international conferences

His research interests encompass the broad range of Multifunctional Materials (Multiferroic, Electrocaloric, Magnetoelectrics)
